East of Adelaide There was a girl that I used know; she used to live on one of these blocks, back in an innocent time when we would just sit and talk. Now it seems everything’s changed: the vibe is gone and it feels so strange. The spirit that once filled the air now feels like crushing despair. When you get east of Adelaide It feels like hope has died so many lives thrown away it makes you want to cry. Well, I hope that she’s doing alright cause it gets cold here late at night, I hope she went somewhere safe ‘cause she was too nice for this place. I was hoping to reclaim my youth, but I know that’s never the case. Don’t why she came to mind, or why I came back to this place.
